Dr. Veneracion Cabana, MVC Research Director, received the “Outstanding Asian Researcher 2012 Award” during the Asian Conference in Education 2012 held at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, May 28-30.
The award was given in recognition of her contributions to the world scientific community through her 1,100 citations for 16 publications in Thompson Reuters, Scopus, and PubMed generating a Hirsch Index of 26m, “one of the highest in Asia,” according to the citation in the plaque.
She also received the “Outstanding Journal Editor 2012 Award” for serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Journal of Health and the Editorial Board of the Liceo Journal of Higher Education Research.
Dr. Cabana serves as a peer reviewer of reputable journals and conducts lectures, trainings, and oral research presentations in many parts of the world. She is a great role model to researchers in Asia and beyond.
